The base idle set screw controls the throttle body air bypass that allows the adjustment of the idle. If your DSM is not idling right, it may be because this set screw has fallen out completely.
This is a brand new OEM Mitsubishi part.
Fits: 90-99 Turbo Talon, Eclipse, Laser and 91-92 Galant Vr-4 turbo.
Tech Tip: This set screw includes gasket.
